The Cardiac Ablation Solutions Division provides a broad suite of electrophysiology solutions intended to disrupt and lead the market in cardiac mapping and ablation technologies for arrhythmia management. These clinical and economical solutions will enable clinicians to treat patients with safer, faster and easier, and with more predictable procedure times and outcomes.

**The CAS Division is looking for a Chief Systems Engineer with in-depth knowledge of mapping navigation systems.**

**Day in the life:**

+ Work with Key Opinion Leaders in the EP field to gather input on system interfaces and requirements.

+ Participate on internal core/project teams as needed to inform and guide development efforts to ensure value proposition is realized.

+ Work with RD and marketing to resolve technical and commercial risks during development.

+ Assist with a long term global mapping and navigation strategy that addresses both internal and external opportunities and maximizes revenue growth.

+ Support various product development deliverables such as customer requirements, design inputs, system requirements, risk management, use cases, use environments, labeling, training materials, interface definition, and system compatibility documentation.

+ Work collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders ranging from the various engineering disciplines to marketing, clinical, reliability/quality, regulatory, operations, and clinicians.

+ Demonstrate strong business acumen, appropriately balancing feature definition with business needs.

+ Provide expert clinical guidance as a Personnel with Clinical Knowledge for formal safety and risk management approvals.

+ Assist with Human Factors/Usability efforts for both software and hardware components.

+ Understand and help define standard external interfaces in the clinical procedure such that each component of EP systems (i.e. catheter, ablation system, delivery system, mapping/navigational systems, etc.) can be appropriately designed for optimal system performance and meet or exceed customer expectations.

+ Demonstrate continuously up-to-date knowledge of the EP markets and knowledge of competitive approaches to product features, using this knowledge to recommend strategic development decisions.

+ Ensure understanding of all quality policy/system items that are personally applicable. Follow all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high-quality work.

+ Will require domestic and international travel, up to 30%.

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

+ Minimum of bachelors degree in a technical field with 15+ years of experience. Alternatively, 13+ years of experience with advanced degree

+ Broad knowledge in EP ablation across different types of procedures (AF, SVT, VT) and different technologies (3D mapping and navigation, EP recording, Cryo, RF, pulsed field ablation, etc.)

**Nice to Have**

+ Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist credentials or equivalent.

+ At least 10 years of experience directly operating 3D mapping and navigation systems EP lab systems in the field to support a variety of procedures, customers, and centers.

+ Background in product development cycle for medical devices.

+ Ability to converse, provide input, and guide development decisions with high levels of technical competency regarding EP signals and mapping/navigation engineering concepts such as amplification, filtering, noise, compatibility, and impedance.

+ Excellent conflict resolution, written and verbal communication skills to work in a cross-functional team to influence product development and define product roadmap.

+ Have established relationship with multiple KOLs (key opinion leaders) in the 3D map and navigation area and experience in collecting customer inputs.

+ Proven ability to work on geographically dispersed project teams.

+ Familiarity with both US and worldwide EP market.

+ High-level understanding of quality, security, privacy, and regulatory requirements for medical devices.

+ 2+ years product development experience in a medical device company operating under design controls.

+ Experience listening, understanding conflicting needs, and exerting influence within a highly matrixed organization.

+ Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
