The digital transformation department is part of a newly created global operations innovation organization responsible for shaping and transforming Medtronic Manufacturing and Supply Chain Operations. This role is part of Medtronic Manufacturing Digitalization Operational Technologyorganization, which is driving Manufacturing Digitalization and Automation globally.
**A Day in the Life**
Enable a modular / standard automated vision inspection catalogue of services (cameras / lenses, software, lighting, sensors, image processing, etc.) by common use cases
Develop and implement a global deployment plan, working with all departments to execute (Manufacturing Technology, Manufacturing Network Engineering, Local sites) to drive 0 human Inspection
Empower Manufacturing Network Engineering and Operational Technology group to deploy automated vision inspection at scale
**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**
Bachelors degree in Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering and 10+ years of professional experience in a major, global organization in multiple areas of both business technical and leadership domain within Manufacturing Engineering **OR** Advanced degree and 8+years of professional experience in a major, global organization in multiple areas of both business technical and leadership domain within Manufacturing Engineering
7+ years of managerial experience
Demonstrated experience implementing optical inspection equipment for measurement and visual product inspections
Experience in investigating and selecting optical, electrical, and mechanical components to determine their fitness for use in our Manufacturing environment
**Specialized Skills and Competencies**
Broad experience in vision inspection processes and solutions
Imaging Capturing, Processing and analyzing
Machine Learning
Strategic Thinker
Strong Communicator / Influencer
Strong Problem Solver / Analytical Skills
**Nice to Have:**
Masters degree
