As the Sensor Chief Engineer, you will be a technical leader for developing CGM solutions for helping people living with diabetes. You will lead the effort to establish the architecture for a technology group, enabling future iteration and feature expansion. You will accomplish this through working closely with technical teams to understand technology capabilities as they relate to meeting the goals of the business and working closely with business partners to understand future technology/features needed by the market.


As a part of the development program, you will establish the trade-off space for a product development program through building consensus amongst business and technical teams regarding scope and feature/performance prioritization. You will work with the technical teams to identify areas of technical risk and ensure that sufficient de-risking activities are on-going so that development programs meet the intended scope and schedule.

**A Day in the Life**

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.


+ Establishes the architecture for a technology group to allow for future iteration and feature expansion.

+ Work closely with technical teams to understand technology capabilities

+ Work closely with business partners to understand future technology/features needed by the market

+ Work with marketing lead, therapy lead (PMO) to

+ Determine strategic imperatives ie top outcome statements

+ Map outcomes in language of the patient to features

+ Work with CCD to define winning concept

+ Guide Tech Dev to align with Top outcomes and feature development

+ Work with RD Functional Managers, Core Team Leaders and Therapy Leads (PMO) to

+ Coordinate RD recommendation (single voice) on Core Team with Lead System Integrators

+ Resolve cross RD functional, PMO and marketing strategic technical questions / issues

+ Solve Cross Core Team Therapy and Commercial System Technical Issues

+ Work with marketing core team members, Core Team Leader and Lead System Integrator to

+ Set Project Scope for PrePDP / PrePhase0 Empowered Core Team

+ Drive Integration cycle planning for RD extended teams

+ Attend and Provide guidance on technical reviews at integration cycle milestones

+ Works closely with the product development teams to ensure effective system integration following a systems engineering approach.

+ Works closely with the technical leads on product development programs to lead technical integration topics across engineering disciplines.

+ Communicates with stakeholders, obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems.

+ Gathers requirements, works on requirements planning, requirements elicitation and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of projects key stakeholders.

+ Establishes the trade-off space for a product development program

+ Builds consensus amongst business and technical teams regarding scope and feature/performance prioritization

+ Reviews status of projects; manages schedules and prepares status reports.

+ Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.

+ Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

+ Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.


**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**


+ Bachelors degree required

+ Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience

+ Experience in developing launching app-cloud systems

+ Experience in developing electro-mechanical devices

+ Experience executing the A Day in a Life responsibilities listed above


**Nice to Have**


+ Experience in Design for Six Sigma (DFSS)

+ Experience in medical device product development

+ Experience in implementing products that have to integrate into multiple platforms

+ Experience in leading development of distributed systems

+ Experience in developing physiologic sensors
