The Associate Sales Rep supports a designated Region of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) and Private Practice customers in Medtronics Gastrointestinal Hepatology (GIH) division. The individual will call on ASCs, physician offices, and locations where our products are used to treat patients. Their primary purpose is to represent the company on new product launches to the end user to facilitate purchases of our products.


This position will be an overlay position in the sales organization. The Associate Sales Rep will work in conjunction with a full bag representative in order to drive new product sales within GIH.


You will be required to demonstrate product proficiency, teach clinicians how to use medical and technology devices, and facilitate the product purchase. You will provide procedural support on the effective use of new products. Compensation will be based on base salary and a field sales commission program.


Clinical Expertise


+ Thoroughly understand product line features, benefits and clinical proof sources.

+ Develop in-depth clinical knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the entire gastrointestinal tract.

+ Fully assimilate clinical and journal articles relative to inflammatory bowel disease diagnosis and management, medical device technology, adenoma detection rates (ADR), GI hemostasis, GI Pathology, and use of economic modeling to define revenue streams.

+ Teach clinicians how to use our products; to include intraprocedural utilization of our technology and devices.

+ Develop clinical champions for product adoption in existing accounts while increasing the user base.


Territory Support


+ Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales quotas by driving new product adoption through delivery of clinical knowledge primarily focused on the Gastrointestinal (GI) tract.

+ Meet or exceed required selling activity metrics set by management.

+ Daily travel within region, up to 50% overnights as required.

+ Establish relationships with ambulatory surgery center and office personnel where endoscopic procedures are performed or influenced.

+ Develop a thorough understanding and ability to communicate the reimbursement environment for our products.

+ Market development activities consisting of, but not limited to, calling on GI Physicians to drive awareness of disease state and treatment.


Administrative


+ Accurately forecast monthly and quarterly sales

+ Effectively manage pipeline via Salesforce.com (SFDC) platform

+ Perform all trainings within assigned timelines demonstrating proficiency.

+ Consistently provide administrative requests such as salesforce.com documents, expense reports, sales reports, and other tracking requests.

+ Contribute positively to the sales team through communication and sharing.

+ Awareness of and adherence to Advamed guidelines.

+ Achievement of assigned sales quotas

+ Increased sales of assigned products and accounts

+ \# of evaluations covered and converted

+ Market development activities completed to drive awareness of disease state and treatment

+ Complete territory key account coverage


Required:


Bachelors Degree


Years of Experience


Preferred Experience;


+ 2-3 years of Field Sales Experience.

+ Medical Sales

+ Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with all functional areas.


+ Ability to multi-task and work independently.

+ Strong written and oral communication skills.

+ Good computer skills with specific skills in Microsoft Office: Power Point, Excel, and Word.


Emphasis in Business, Life Sciences, Medicine, or related preferred.


Field sales experience preferred.
