The Business Analyst II is responsible for analyzing high-level business requirements and processes as provided by Information Technology (IT) Business Partners. Produces detailed functional and non-functional business and system requirement documentation to be used in the design and development process. Provides technical consultation and recommends improvements, modifications and new solutions. Analyzes system modifications and conveys related technical implications.


Job Responsibilities

  • Conducts analysis on existing processes and works with stakeholders to gather new requirements. Elicits feedback and facilitates discussions regarding functional and non-functional requirements with users, vendors and development teams.
  • Understand and break-down complex systems and user requests. Leads or performs analysis of business and user needs, constructs requirements documentation, translates requirements into proper system requirement specifications (user stories), and reviews requirements and specifications with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide Incident ticket support leveraging Service Now. Work with L1 & L2 agents, both internally and offshore to resolve issues raised by the field users.
  • Work closely with users for troubleshooting sessions through phone conversations and desktop sharing.
  • Formulates and defines project scope and objectives based on user needs and a thorough understanding of the Web, CRM, ATS, and Pay/Bill systems.
  • Provides written and visual models for developers to design and build the solutions.
  • Participates in an agile/hybrid development team, ensuring features and functionality requested by users align with business goals for the product, as well as ensuring the right information is available to the solutions engineering teams, with the right amount of detail, at the right time
  • Leverage architectural guidelines to ensure application standards are maintained
  • Maintain visibility across multiple application instances to ensure cohesive application of the solutions and ensure recommendations are aligned to the Company goals
  • Help identify trends to determine areas to address with Knowledge Base Articles; ability to build a relationship with the service desk to resolve more issues during the first call.
  • Configure the front office applications based on customer requests.


Required Skills

  • Strong technical writing and visualization capabilities as it relates to requirements gathering and functional documentation.
  • Perform document analysis by reviewing existing organizational assets to assist in planning the analysis approach.
  • Ability to write and execute SQL queries against various databases for data analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Apply process and scope modeling to define the approach and determine the boundaries of the solution as an input to estimation.
  • Ability to do work breakdown on the analysis steps in order to give estimates of various stages and enable other resources to assist with analysis.
  • Ability to quickly build a strong knowledge and understanding of various business needs and strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Ability to lead workshops in an organized manner and provide documentation and visuals to support greater understanding and awareness of issues and solutions.
  • Experience interfacing with multiple teams that are dispersed geographically.
  • Maturity and ability to work independently in a dynamic project environment with aggressive deadlines.
  • Skilled in conceptualizing, documenting and presenting creative idea/solutions.
  • Action oriented; deadline and metric driven personality.
  • Effectively communicate between end users and technical teams and be able to triage issues.
  • Experience in incident ticket support and working with end users to resolve issues or answer questions.
  • Previous use of Jira in a working environment for task assignment, requirements gathering, user story development and delivery alignment. 


  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting, Operations Management, Computer Science or Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Logistics
  • Strong communication (oral & written) skills to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, using appropriate media and language
  • High proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and SQL
  • Experience using various software development approaches (Agile, Waterfall)
  • Previous Jira experience
  • IIBA Certified; ECBA, CCBA or CBAP
  • Ability to sift through details quickly and determine whats important
  • Knowledge and experience with enterprise SaaS application development
  • Spanish or French Language skills; oral and written preferred
  • Admin Certification or platform admin experience preferred
  • 1+ Year Staffing Industry experience preferred
  • 4+ Years experience with software application analysis and delivery
  • Masters level degree preferred
